Varsity Night

One of the many things I never experienced in high school was a Varsity Night or in my own terms, a night where in all athletes get the chance to dress up in their own formal way and leave other athletes with their heads turned. Anyway, we girls decided to prep up at ate Yvette’s house which is located near UP. Since Maylee, Kat and Aironne went ahead, me, Karla, Mai and Ate Yvette took a few shots before leaving :)

This is the people who helped me survived my first year in college. They stood as my family; they were like sisters to me and they acted as my brothers, which, in real life I never had. We have seen one another’s ups and downs not just in training but also in our personal lives. Our relationships with one another has surely solidified because of the strong bonding we have and I’m praying that whatever we have will last forever. I can’t thank them enough and I’m so ready to spend my remaining years in college with them.
Dino, Yvette, Jansell, Kat, Kim, Jao and Steph were awarded because they meddled in this year’s UAAP!
Didn’t bring any camera that night so I stole pictures from Tita Eiza and Mai M.

Summer getaway: A must

SUMMER. It’s been a couple of years since I had my “normal summer getaway.” I’ve been used to travelling and I’m fond of it. Well, everything that is happening to me now are blessings and I know I’m not supposed to complaining but I can’t deny the fact that I’m missing a bunch on summer. This was a photo taken in Bora in October last year with some of my teammates. We were there for about 20 hours. The time was short, yes, but it was well-spent even if ngarag-ngarag na kami afterwards =))

Bora with friends is a long overdue plan and until now it is still a plan. A saying goes out for us which is truly applicable, “unplanned plans turns out to be the best.” Actually, gawa ko lang ‘yan haha

I’ve been to several places, beach resorts and tourist destinations and I would like to explore our country some more! Camiguin Island tops it all, then Panglao in Bohol, La Luz in Batangas, CMC Wakeboarding, Calatagan, Pansols in Laguna, Shangrila Mactan in Cebu, Boracay, few more beaches in Batangas which I can’t remember vividly, Pagudpod in Ilocos, and other places we’ve been that my memory can’t recall. There are also places which I would want to take pictures, leave footprints and simply jive into what it could offer like the PALAWAN beaches and resorts(Long Island…), Belaroca in Marinduque wherein I join the virtual tour online, Puerto Galera and Batanes Island. That’s it for now.

Summer 2012 isn’t over yet and I just hope for a beach getaway soon!

Hola 19th

It’s 11:49 pm in my clock and honestly, I’m not that excited to celebrate because I’m turning freakin’ 19 years old!!!!! Last year of being a teenager. Well, I’ve got a lot to look back at and people to thank. First of, a year ago I was still trying out for a slot in the UP women’s track and field team and luckily, I was in. That summer was the start of one of the biggest transformation I made in my life. Entering college has taught me to be more independent in life. Certain events and problems has brought me to be more matured most especially when it comes to decision making and setting priorities. 18 is just a number for some, but to me, being 18 entails responsibilities that require proper thinking. I may not think things over and over sometimes, I know God has always been there to guide me, and even though my religious path has once been strayed, God is always there. God never left my side in times of difficulties, in trainings and during competitions. A lot has happened in a span of one year and there are a lot that I would love to keep and there are some I would like to change. I would love to keep my team for sure!! They have been my family in my (current) college life and they’ve been my mentors, teachers, friends, confidants, critics but most of all, they have been my brothers and sisters.I know a year is not enough to judge but a year has proved to me that there are far better things in life. I just love them as they are and I can’t thank them enough for all the impeccable deeds they’ve done to me. Gaaaaaah I love them so much and I won’t deny the fact that I can go crazy and act like my foolish self when I’m with them. Plus, my SGN sissies will forever hold a part in my heart that no one can ever take away. My karate family, sister and parents are the most influential people in my life and I love them.

These are photos taken from my surprise 17th birthday in my house, then :)

Will post birthday greetings tonight to show how thankful and touched I am to people who mean a lot to me and who have made an impact in my life in one way or another :)

Philo 10 fieldtrip with WFU part 2

ARCHIE

(L-R: Camille, Trish & Jona)

I just have this “something” when it comes to nature. I just love being in the outdoors and smelling the mist the plants excrete. I just love when the pure and natural air slide through my nostrils and into my system. HAHA plus the sound of the water running through big rocks and falling to a depth no man can endure just makes me feel alive. OA ata but it’s true

Selina, SC and Lech

Jeng

I knew they shared something in common during this experience <3

JunJun!!! OM HAHAHA

Mon and Trish

The cold breeze left my camera lens foggy. It turned out to be great! :)

We were ready to go but we weren’t prepared to leave :( An overnight was not enough for us to get closer and to get to know one another that well. We were the only class who stayed in one room, boys and girls mixed. We had our own way of sharing attitudes and love for our newly found friends. This is where we became sisters and brothers.

WFU=Amihan Hall

That’s the pool where we had our final game the night before we left.

Walking to the underground cemetery.

This was the second to the last agenda we had for the duration of our field trip and we weren’t just ready to say good bye :(

Philo 10 fieldtrip with WFU PART 1

OH. MY. GOSH. I had tons of things to do that’s why I wasn’t able to post this. Haha anyway, one of the requirements for my Philo 10 class was a field trip to Quezon. We first headed to Antipolo, to an art museum. It wasn’t obvious that it was an art museum from the entrance, it was more like a house or something like that. It had a spacious lot and the air smelled good compared to what I used to breathe in in the city.

It was the Pinto Art Museum.

It had a lot of “kubos” where paintings are displayed.

I really find this picture of Rz, Mon and Trish so cute!!

Some of my girl classmates!! (L-R: Alaine, Jen, Selina, Lui and SC)

I found Jahweh and Zarah sitting side by side on this cushion. I have no idea what they’re talking about before I took this picture haha

Philo10 WFU. That’s our professor on the top-right, Sir Caslib :)

Forever teammates!!! <3

Rz’s trying to fit his face on this mask. We had a lot of re-takes by the way :) )

It was Jahweh’s birthday that day! So one “happy birthday jump” for the birthday boy :) )

Mon and I

Trish and Nino with matching Raybans!!!

Please notice the U-turn symbol in the middle. That goes out to my friends, SGN, because our barkada name was originally U-Turn.

This entry would be so long if I continue to post so I’ll have a part 2 on this!

Good Times

It’s been more than a month since I last saw and bonded with my friends. And yesterday I had lunch with my teammate then went to UP and I came to the point where I felt the need and want to see them so I called them up. We ended up at Mads’ house. “Traditional” pancit canton was one of the things we ate plus chocolates, played billiards, went to the rooftop and we exchanged stories. Around 10pm, we decided to go to Bea’s house which is in the same village but in a different phase.

Nica, Aby and I ended sleeping over in Bea’s house. Good times in college are surely kick-ass memorable!

SELLING A BRAND NEW NOKIA C5

Sorry for some low-quality pictures, but yeah.

So my tita’s selling her brand new Nokia C5 for only Php 5000(negotiable).

Still in very, very good condition. Very brand new, BRAND NEW.

Lantern Parade

This is long overdue but who cares? Hahaha! I’ve been longing to attend the annual UP Lantern Parade since the start of 1st semester back in June. It was in December 16, 2011 when the Lantern Parade was held. I started off my day by attending our morning training in ULTRA. After our training, I was ranting to my girl teammates about how excited I was and they were, too. Thanks to Karla, we’ve decided to wear dresses so we all went back home instead of heading straight to UP to freshen up. Trish, Mai, Karla and I had our breakfast date at Pancake House along Katipunan. Being the normal “me,” I was an hour late and I had no choice but to have my pancakes taken out to be able to get to UP in time for the annual Oblation Run.

Trish wanted a picture with the Scooby-Doo poster so….

Look at all those people gathered at the AS Lobby!

Image

I was supposed to post a fading-running picture of a man running naked but then I opted not to in respect for that person.

Check out Karla and Trish’s astonished faces after the run! Trish found a rose lying on the floor so she got it(feeling? joke!!)Image

Batchmates! :) Image

After hanging out in Casaa for a while, we went to CHK gym to kill time. Lantern Parade during this time starts in about 3 hours. We had our girly talk at the gymnastics area. Image

I’m not a fan of milk teas, so when Karla and Trish bought Milk Teas I strolled along LB.Image

Saw Mon, Jp and Jett while we were on our way to the gym to meet up with sila Kuya Dino. Image

Kuya Dino, Karla, Gabs, Trish, Ricca and JC

We just wanted a picture :)

With the best teacher I’ve had in college!! The best Sir OJ with the best students haha joke

KAL(CAL)-Kolehiyo ng Arte at Literatura

I guess he’s supposed to be Macario Sakay. Well as far as I can remember from my grade school Hekasi, he’s the one with the long hair. Or not? So yeah, that’s Gab.

What if Kalesas are used as transportation in UP instead of the UP Jeeps? Hhhmmmm…
